Bylaw Enforcement Officer (9-month term)

Investigate municipal bylaw complaints, patrol public spaces, educate the public, document evidence and coordinate with partner agencies. This is a nine-month, full-time union position at 40 hours per week. Requires at least one year dealing with the public in municipal regulation, conflict-resolution training and Grade 12 plus Bylaw I/II certification, or equivalent education and experience. A valid BC driver’s licence and an acceptable vulnerable-sector criminal-record check are required. Flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, may be needed. The posting lists 15.5% additional pay in lieu of benefits, vacation and statutory holidays. Its stated closing time is 4:30 p.m. Pacific on September 22.
